Chipsmall’s 2023 Internal Audit for Quality Management System

Chipsmall Limited organized an internal audit of the Quality Management System for the year 2023 on October 13th. The purpose of this audit is to confirm the compliance, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System built in accordance with the GB/T19001:2016 standard.



After the first meeting, the audit team promptly began on-site audit work. Through procedures such as interviews, document review, record-keeping, and on-site observations, they conducted internal audits of the departments engaged in the process related to the company's products and services.



Following are the main measures and consequences of the internal audits:

1. Audit Planning: A comprehensive audit plan had been developed in advance, outlining the scope, schedule, and participants of the audit. Through effective organization and scheduling, the efficiency of the audit process was ensured.

2.Audit Preparation: Quality Management System’s files and records were adequately prepared including quality manuals, procedure documents, instructions, etc. These documents served as the foundation of the QMS and important reference materials for the audit work. 

3.Audit Implementation: The audit was conducted strictly in accordance with procedures and requirements, systematically examining each aspect of the Quality Management System. Through observation, interviews, and document auditing, a thorough understanding and evaluation of the effectiveness and running conditions of the QMS was obtained.

4.Problem Identification: Emphasis was given to identifying issues and potential risks. Regardless of procedure document defaults, non-compliance in operational procedures, or safety concerns in the workplace, timely recording and improvement suggestions were provided to assure the QMS's continual improvement.

5.Corrective Measures: The purpose of the audit is not only to identify problems but also to propose corrective measures. We categorized the issues, analyzed the root causes, and developed appropriate improvement measures to eliminate the underlying causes and prevent the recurrence of similar problems.
