Chipsmall Limited just passed the ANSI/ESD S20.20:2021 ESD protection management system re-certification audit, which is a giant accomplishment! The certification creates a strong defense for the quality and safety of electronic components and signifies the ongoing acknowledgment of Chipsmall’s electrostatic protection technology by international authorities. Obtaining accreditation is a fresh beginning for quality management, not its conclusion.

Audit Process

The two-day audit conducted by the Guangzhou Ceprei Certification Body followed principles of objectivity and fairness. Through questions, interviews, document checks, and on-site observations, the auditors gathered evidence. Every department diligently responded to the auditors' inquiries and proactively supplied the records and materials required for the audit. The auditors then conducted an on-site audit of the laboratory, quality control department, and EPA areas, focusing on sensitive component inspection processes, packaging protection, electrostatic testing, EPA area construction, grounding systems, and more. The auditors provided specific improvement suggestions and fully recognized Chipsmall’s efforts in building the electrostatic protection system and executing different control measures.

Audit Results

At last, the auditors provided a detailed summary. The preparation of documents across departments demonstrated that the documentation was thorough, and the departments were familiar with the management system. The EPA areas were strictly implemented according to the documentation requirements.
