Chipsmall Enhances Counterfeit Electronic Component Detection and Prevention with AS6081 Training

Recently, Chipsmall Limited's QC manager, Andy Huang, conducted a training on the identification and prevention of counterfeit electronic components for the company's QC and procurement department employees in accordance with the AS6081 standard. The training covered the international standard AS6081 and practical cases of counterfeit parts, providing detailed information on the identification, case studies, prevention, and control of counterfeit components.

Andy introduced the definition and source of counterfeit electronic components to the employees, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of the seriousness and harm of counterfeit parts. He then explained in detail how to identify counterfeit electronic components, emphasizing the need for employees to pay attention to components' packaging, labeling, appearance, and functionality. He also stressed the importance of carefully verifying and checking the source, supplier, and manufacturer of the components. In the case study sharing session, he showed examples of different types of counterfeit electronic components, allowing employees to have a more intuitive understanding of the identification methods of counterfeit components. At the end, he introduced some related detection methods and equipment, as well as how to effectively communicate and cooperate with suppliers and manufacturers.
